Mini Wardrobe and Dresser Tour!

There is nothing I love more then being all organized.

*Disclaimer - I am not in anyway trying to brag about what I've got. Everything in my room is earned and brought by myself so it all means a lot to me and I feel like I have to take extra care of it. I'm just showing you so you can maybe get some idea for yourself and I'm really happy with how organized I am hehehe*

I'm hoping to update this set up and get box's to put all my make-up in as at the moment they are all stored away in my draws.
The draws shown here are from IKEA I think they was £45. I love the modern feel to it and the classic white i wanted to keep this theme as that's the colour of my bed and it just looks so smart all put together. I have all my nail varnish's put out as i think it looks cool and I like the different colours on the top!

I absolutely love my little lights! They frame my wardrobe and when I only have them on and I'm sat in my room its so cute and cosy. They are just little love hearts they were from IKEA and were £15.

I used to have a really old horrible wardrobe and I'm not going to lie to you I used to keep it really really messy, I wouldn't hang anything up and I'd just chuck it all in at the bottom! But ever since I've had my new wardrobe (from Ikea £65) I've kept it so neat organized and tidy. Here is a small selection of my favourite heels/shoes. The rest i keep in containers under my bed.

I used to have one of these hangy storage things when I was younger and I loved it. I never used to organize my wardrobes back then my Mum did it. But I thought I'd take a leaf out of her book and when I was strolling through IKEA I found them and was like I NEED ONE. They make me feel like I have a lot more strange then I probably do and they are so good for storing my Converse, Vans, Jewellery, Scarf's, Belts, Sandals, Clutch Bags, And my hairbrush's. I'm a hairdresser so I have way to many hairbrush's that are actually acceptable. This is only a small selection it is kind of crazy.

This is a view of it all together. I absolutely love the way its laid out. I even have a section at the top where i organize all of my products but its not in a very good state at the moment I've still got some organizing to do there!

I really hope you liked this post. A little different to normal but I love seeing things like this and seeing how people organize their things it gives me the motivation to do it myself.

Starting Off: Mascara.

#theSOproject

This weeks post is all about Mascara! Above you will see my top 5 mascaras. I do apologise in advance for the state of these mascaras they are a mess hehe.

So from left to right we have:

4. Volumising Mascara - from a brand I have no clue I just picked it up from Body Care and it was really good!

Mascara for me is a really great way of bringing all your make-up together. It opens up your eyes so much and long lash's look amazing. Its always hard to find a good mascara that does the trick for you, some may be really rubbish you have to keep going until you find the right one. I'm still yet to try a high end mascara but I think I will do very soon! I'm just looking forward to reading everyone's and I can make my mind up from there.

My favourite high street brand would have to be Maybellines. They do so many amazing mascaras  haven't tried one that I fault yet so if I was to recommend a brand to try that's affordable for mascara then that's the brand I would go for!! :)

Starting Off: Blusher.

#theSOproject BLUSHER

It probably noticeable to you as you go through my blog how much of a lover i am for Sleek products. I literally rave about the brand so so much. I just think its amazing and great quality for the price you pay.

These really pigmented blush's are so so lovely. I love the way they brighten up your face. I've said before i do suffer from slightly oily skin so a cream blush is a no. I heard a lot of great reviews over the sleek products and how pigmented they are and they do such lovely bright colours. After purchasing myself and trying out the product i have to say i completely agree. And its made me want to go out and purchase a few more of their blush palettes in different colours. My Favourite from this palette would have to be 'Crochet' simply because its just a gorgeous bright orangey colour and i think it really complements my skin tone.

The product itself is really easy to apply and I use a Real Techniques multi task brush to apply it. I put it on the apples of my cheeks. But you have to be really careful not to apply too much because it can look like you've caked it on. You only need to apply the tiniest bit however, this is good because you know its going to last you ages as you don't have to go through it harshly.

I love the packaging for the product its smart nicely compacted and it comes with a really nice big mirror so its easy to apply on the go. I feel that with this packaging i know that if its to go in my bag amongst other products my blush's are nice and safe and wont get damaged and cracked.

You can pick up the Sleek Blush Palette from Superdrug! For £9.99 you get the 3 blushes. I believe you can also pick up single blush's in a smaller container for a bit cheaper. But I wanted the three all together because I think they are all beautiful.

Barry M Nail Varnish Addiction!

Okay, I admit it. I have a Barry M nail varnish addiction.... You happy now? i said it.

This is only a small collection of some of my favourite nail varnish's. There is just something about this brand that keeps me wanting more. I think they have such a wide and brilliant range of colours. I will admit i am not a  big fan personally of the nail art effect nail varnishes but the normal everyday range I absolutely LOVE. I'm really loving white ATM on the nails I think its really on trend and goes with everything. Its quite out there though i do find white is really bright. I did have a yellow Barry M colour but I'm sad to say it smashed so RIP to my favourite yellow nail varnish ever :(

Where can i pick up my very own Barry M nail varnish i hear you say? Well... You can pick them up from any high street drugstore i believe so Boots and Superdrug. You can get them off their website, I'll leave links at the end of my post to websites you can find them and my social networking ect.

They are so affordable i find they stay on for days without chipping. I'm very full on with my hands so i often find that many brands of nail varnish chip for me. They last long especially if you put a top coat on of a colour they look super shiny and amazing.

BABYLIPS review

Baby Lips are a range of moisturising lip balms by Maybelline.

Why you'll love these lip products:

  • The secret: Exclusive lip renew formula
  • Protects and moisturizes for a full 8 hours
  • After 1 week*, lips are visibly renewed, virtually reborn
  • 6 varieties
  • Very cute packaging with stylish, funky font

Why i love these lip products:

I find Baby Lips to be a really moisturising lip balm. I'm not a fan of lip balms I find most of them have a stingy sensation or they just taste a tad funny. I've been looking to find one that hydrates my lips, feels amazing on and gives a nice touch of colour. That's when i picked up the one as shown ABOVE in 'Pink Punch' it tastes fabulous, adds a pink glow to my lips and keeps them feeling hydrated and smooth. I would say that the colour only lasts up to an hour because it doesn't have any long ware quality's to it. You could however, build it up to make it more vibrant but as a quick swash on would go it comes out quite sheer if you will.

-----------------------------------

They've been out in USA for awhile now and they have only recently just come out in the UK. I picked this one up a few weeks ago and I was leaving it awhile to do a review so i could try it out and give you my honest opinion and I love it. And I will definitely be going to purchase a few more of this range until I have them ALL.

The 6 varieties you can pick up are:

  • Peppermint
  • Pink Punch
  • Grape Vine
  • Quenched
  • Peach Kiss
  • Cherry Me

They are available in Boots and Superdrug in the UK and they retail at £2.99 each. I got mine from Tesco it was 2 for £5 so I went half with my friend to try it out and see what we thought.

I would really recommend these to all of you!

HOPE YOU'VE ENJOYED.

Starting Off: Bronzer.

Now I don't know about you but I am a massive fan of bronzer. Its such an easy and simple way to add a sun bronzed look quickly and really open up your face. For me I'm all about applying it on a daily basis because I find if I don't I can look really washed out and quite unwell as I have naturally quite pale skin. I go through a lot of bronzer and I'm always picking up and trying new products so having the opportunity to do this post in the #theSOproject really excited me.

About Contouring

Contouring as we all know is something that i don't think many people do, but i think its such a fantastic way of making your face look naturally tanned and if done correctly can really bring out your cheek bones. Its famously known by the Kardashians as they love a good contour Especially Kim. As you can see above I've added a photo of Kim and she looks beautiful. The contouring on her forehead, cheekbones and down the sides of her nose is noticeable but not too much she has it perfected. Kim Kardashian's makeup style has worked well for her for years because it isn't overly complicated but at its core it gives you a Bright and Fresh looking base that you can use all the time even everyday as well and going out.

How To Contour

As shown in Picture 1. This is the correct places to contour you want to put it where the sun would naturally hit your face. You want to apply it the the hollow of your cheeks, hair line and the sides of your nose. This really helps bring out your cheek bones and make your face appear slimmer in some cases.

In picture 2 as shown above this is where you want to add the highlighter. This is where the light would naturally hit your face. So, the tops of your cheek bones your cheeks, your brow bones, down the centre of the nose and the middle of your fore head. Just like contouring, it gives your face more depth and as well as a healthy glow.

What I Use

'Sleek Face Contour Kit'

What really sells it to me about this product is how pigmented it is and how good it is for contouring and brightening up the skin. It comes with a highlighter as well so its literally perfect. It holds so much powder in the packet that its bound to last a long time. One of the the things i also love about this product is how easy and small it is to carry around. It wouldn't take up too much room in your make-up bag. It retails for £10 from Superdrug. Its normally in the bigger Superdrug stores though i have struggled to pick it up from small stores as they don't have the stand available but I do recommend looking if you do come across a big one. I just find all of the sleek products to be amazing. Check out some of my other posts for some more Sleek Reviews.

Thank you so much for reading this weeks The Starting Off Project post. I really hope you enjoyed it. Was a bit of a long read but don't forget to let me know if your enjoyed the post! Leave links to your posts AND let me know if you've tried out this product or anything similar.

Starting Off: Foundation.

So in this post I'm going to give you a quick review on my TOP 3 foundations that i use on a day to day bases.

Rimmel London; wake me up foundation -

For me personally i love this product. It has a shimmer to it which most people may not like. I know a few friends who prefer more matte finish  But i love the shimmer i feel like it gives me a really healthy glow. And this product in particular has quite a duey finish and makes me look and feel more awake and vibrant. You can pick this up in Boots for about £7.99 so its more on the affordable end and feels like a higher end product anyway.

MAC; studio sculpt foundation -

So this product is at the higher end coming in at a price of around £25. I picked this up after going into Debenhams and i decided i'll sit down and have my make-up done by mac themselves. And as soon as this product hit my skin i knew it was meant to be. I love the finish it gives you. Its quite a heavy foundation I'd say you would more the definitely feel like you have it on your skin but it does make your skin look flawless. I don't wear this foundation every day i don't feel like i need to because i like to wear a lighter coverage from day to day just to make sure my skin is getting some air and isn't always caked on. If I'm going on a night out this is my go-to foundation. Because i know that it will last all night and make my skin look amazing. I'd definitely recommend this product if you like a full coverage foundation that lasts. But an alternative that i think gives quite a similar look that is more affordable is the Wake me Up foundation by Rimmel London.

Maybelline; fit me foundation -

his product is definitely a light coverage foundation. I find it to be quite a watery consistency. This is my go-to product if I'm looking for something light that i can pop on to go to the shops that will get rid of my blotchy skin give me a bit of glow but not really look like I'm wearing much or trying too hard. It would also be a fantastic foundation if you have quite clear skin and don't really suffer with any spots/blemishes. You can pick this up in Boots for around £5-£6.

Outfit and Make Up Of The Day

I'm not one to normally do an outfit of the day.. but i really enjoyed my outfit the other day so i thought i'd be cheeky and do a quick post!!

Outfit -

Top - Topshop
Leggings - Topshop
Shoes - Schuh

I absolutely LOVE my converse! I had an old pair and they lasted me so so so long. So comfortable and practicable. I have the new designed ones and I love them I think they look a lot more fresh as the 'cool' kids say. I've teamed my converse with a pair of Topshop fluffy socks.

I just put some gold jewellery on nothing too major I wanted to  keep it casual. I have some old jewellery one and little skull from Topshop on a cute blue plait.

And i also have my Armani Exchange watch which I got for me 19th birthday off my beautiful Dad! I love the diamanté detail on it and the white strap cute and classy.

(Excuse my confused face!)

Make Up -

Face - Mac Studio Sculpt Foundation in NW25
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder
Blush by 3 Sleek set
Contour Kit in Light by Sleek
Lips - Mac 'Please Me' Lipstick (Matte)
Eyes - Maybelline Mega Plush
Collection 2000 felt tip liner
Brows - Rimmel London Professional brow pencil

Thank you for this plain post! Any questions feel free to ask :)

Love you all

Starting Off: Concealer.

I heard a lot of reviews for the Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation that i went out and purchased and absolutely loved! So i thought as that was fabulous maybe the Wake Me Up Concealer will be just as good? Boy was i wrong. I found it to be a watery consistency compared to some other concealers that i have tried so i found it to slip off my face really quickly or it didn't give me very good coverage. That in itself means its a big no from me. I wanted to grow to like it so i used it and used it but i found that i didn't really make me feel like i was covered up. So in the end i had to stop using it. I had it in light, but that didn't matter all the difference because i didn't enjoy it. So all in all, i defiantly will not be picking that up again.

I mean i forgot to mention how i do think its good under the eyes it lightens them up, but if you're putting this on your spots to cover them its not a good coverage and it does add attention and makes them glow because its got alot of shimmer in the product. So for a concealer for me that isn't exactly what i look for!

This leads me on to add to the fact i don't currently use a concealer and the one i am using is the Rimmel Wake Me Up one. But tbh, I'm not going to lie to you for the sake of one post and make you go and waste your money. Its up to you weather or not you would like to go purchase it. Some of you may really like this concealer. I'm not sure if this post is even worth posting but i didn't want to miss out on a week of #theSOproject so i thought i'd do a review post.
For those of you interested in the Rimmel London Wake Me Up concealer you can pick it up from either Boots/Superdrug for £5.49

I have however, heard great reviews about the Lasting Perfection Concealer by Collection 2000 from fellow bloggers and the YouTube beauty gurus that are Tanya Burr and Zoella. So that will be my next purchase and i will let you know how i get on with that. You can pick this one up from Boots/Superdrug for around £4.19! Already cheaper then the Rimmel one. So if i was to advice you a concealer that would be the one i would choose!

If you've tried the Wake Me Up Concealer please let me know how you got on with it in the comments below!

Sorry my heart wasn't with this post entirely today, i just haven't found the concealer i like yet. I am excited to review and tell you about my favorite Foundation Products next week i have a few of them i can't wait to talk about. ST. MORIZ Instant Fake Tan: Review

'For A Healthy Golden Tan All Year Round.'

This is my ALL TIME favourite fake tan! I've been on and off with fake tan now for years and i have struggled at times to find a fake tan that gives a nice subtle glow and isn't streaky. This is the best fake tan that I have used it gives off a really lovely colour once left on and washed off. Nothing to extreme but really natural.
One of the things i love about this product is that it doesn't smell like most fake tans it obviously has a slight smell but nothing as major as others i have tried. It also dry's really quickly so you don't have to worry about walking around your house trying to air dry for hours. As you apply this tan you know exactly where you are putting it because if you don't put it in a certain area you will notice straight away because it applies instantly. I hate them moisturising gradual tans where you can't see where you have put it and then you wake up the next day and have patches all over where you've missed a bit. VERY annoying if you ask me!!
Pop it on the night before bed, keep on the top layer for a good 6ish hours I'd say. And then wash off the top layer to leave a realistic natural looking tan. Make sure you keep moisturised to prolong and keep topped up to stay permanent.

ALWAYS use gloves/mitt when you are applying regardless of whether you wash your hands straight after it will stain and trust me orange hands isn't attractive.

I can't rate this tan high enough for the price you pay i think its fantastic. You can pick it up for £2.99 from stores such as:  http://www.bodycarestores.co.uk/ - http://www.amazon.co.uk/ - http://www.fragrancedirect.co.uk/
